Don’t miss this chance to meet Chris Hastings, Nationally Celebrated Chef and owner of the award winning Birmingham restaurant, The Hot and Hot Fish Club. You’ll sample several of Chris’s delicious recipes and receive a signed copy of his first cookbook, The Hot and Hot Fish Club Cookbook, A Celebration of Food, Family & Traditions. Chris will share his simple philosophy: “foods eaten so close to their source, prepared in a fashion that allows pure, unadulterated flavors to shine, is the key to the meal’s success”. You’ll be receiving cooking advice from one of the south’s best chefs.

Among Chris’s accolades was a 2007 and 2008 nomination as “Best Chef in the South.” Chris was also voted Birmingham’s best chef in Birmingham Magazine’s Readers’ Poll. His Hot and Hot Fish Club restaurant has earned the Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence 11 consecutive years. In 1998 the restaurant was winner of the Robert Mondavi Culinary Award of Excellence for “Best New Restaurant.”

Cost for the event is $50 for members and $55 non-members which includes the demonstration, food sampling and a signed copy of the cookbook. Proceeds benefit the Huntsville Botanical Garden.
